Boiler Servicing for Safety
When it comes to the cost of your life or that of a member of your family the money saved in having a regular boiler service plan does not compare. Modern gas appliances using natural gas are very safe in the home but this is subject to the adoption of a regular boiler service.
There is always a minor chance that the problem could occur, ventilation docks becoming blocked off, one example where insufficient oxygen to the gas chamber will lead in the production of carbon monoxide.
If you smell gas:
- Ensure gas appliances haven't been left on
- Don't smoke or light a naked flame
- Don't plug anything in/out or switch anything on/off
- Open windows and doors
- If your appliances are off but the smell persists, turn off gas at the metre
